Chelsea Dry Oriental Rug Cleaning Procedure:
The value of oriental rugs lies in their genuine wool, special knitting, fringes, and most importantly colors. At Chelsea Dry we take into consideration all the aforementioned in every single step of cleaning. We apply green products so the colors will not pale or fade away and we do not flood rugs with water so rugs do not shrink. We clean rugs by vaccuming them several times to ensure all dust is lift from the rugs, otherwise dust will turn into mud during the cleaning process. We treat spots and stains prior to starting the cleaning process. Then, we pre-spray rugs and start using our state of art equipment to deep clean and extract the hot water off the rug. And the result is a clean rug which is almost dry. In plant we direct blowers to ensure that they are dry completely prior to delivering them to our valued customer.
Chelsea Dry educates their clients of the value of Rugs:
An authentic oriental rug is a handmade carpet that is either knotted with pile or woven without pile. People from different cultures, countries, racial groups and religious faiths are involved in the production of oriental rugs. Oriental rugs are organized by origin: Persian rugs, Arabian rugs, Anatolian rugs, Kurdish rugs, Caucasian rugs, Central Asian rugs, Turkestanian (Turkmen, Turkoman) rugs, Chinese rugs, Tibetan rugs and Indian rugs.
Persian carpets can be divided into three groups; Farsh / Qāli (sized anything greater than 6×4 feet), Qālicheh (meaning "small rug", sized 6×4 feet and smaller), and nomadic carpets known as Gelim (including Zilu, meaning "rough carpet"). In this use, Gelim includes both pile rugs and flat weaves (such as kilim and soumak). Oriental rugs are per se part of the culture and tradition. A twenty-year old carpet can last for triple its current age if treated properly.
